LemonAppStand (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides teacher-led digital learning tools designed for classroom instruction. We take privacy seriously and intentionally design our tools to collect as little information as possible.


1. Information We Collect

A. Teacher and Account Information

If you create an account, purchase a subscription, or contact us, we may collect:

  • Name and email address
  • Billing information (processed securely by our payment provider; we do not store full payment card details)
  • Communications you send to us (such as support requests or feedback)

B. Student Information (Live Classroom Sessions)

Some LemonAppStand tools allow students to join a live teacher-led session. In these tools, students may enter a first name or nickname so a teacher can distinguish responses during that live session.

We do not request or require:

  • last names
  • email addresses
  • phone numbers
  • physical addresses
  • student accounts or logins

Teachers are responsible for instructing students not to enter personal information beyond a first name or nickname.


C. Usage and Technical Information

We may collect standard technical information such as:

  • browser type and device information
  • pages visited and feature interactions
  • approximate location (city/state level, derived from IP address)
  • cookies or similar technologies (see Section 4)

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • operate and maintain LemonAppStand tools
  • support live classroom sessions
  • communicate with teachers regarding accounts, subscriptions, and support
  • improve performance, reliability, and user experience
  • protect against misuse, fraud, or security risks

We do not sell personal information.


3. Live Classroom Sessions & Data Deletion

LemonAppStand’s classroom tools are designed for real-time instructional use, not long-term student recordkeeping.

Session data (including student first names or nicknames and responses) is temporary.
Session data is deleted when a teacher ends a session and automatically removed within 24 hours if a session is left open or inactive.

For best privacy protection, teachers should end sessions when classroom activities are complete.


4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies or similar technologies to:

  • keep teachers logged in (where applicable)
  • remember preferences
  • understand site usage and improve performance

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some features.


5. Sharing of Information

We share information only as necessary to operate the service, including with:

  • service providers (hosting, analytics, support tools)
  • live-session infrastructure providers (such as Firebase / Google Cloud services used to synchronize classroom sessions)
  • payment processors for subscription billing
  • legal or safety authorities, if required by law or to protect rights and security

We do not share student information for advertising or marketing purposes.


6. Children’s Privacy

LemonAppStand is intended for use by teachers and students under teacher supervision. Students typically do not create accounts.


7. Data Retention

  • Teacher account and billing records are retained as required for business, tax, and legal purposes.
  • Live session data is temporary and deleted when sessions end or automatically within 24 hours if left inactive.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. No system is 100% secure, but we work to protect data against unauthorized access or misuse.
